What’s in your bag?
January 31st, 2010 by Harry Sachz
It’s always really interesting to me to see what people carry around in their tech bags. The Hak5 crew, members of Revision3, and even Cali Lewis have spoken about all the stuff that goes with them on trips. Well, this is my bag, and it’s what I carry around with me on a daily basis… We’ll start from the top and work down.
- Dell Mini9 with OS X 10.6.1 (Top Right)
Wallet (duct tape)
Carmex & Excedrin Migraine
Power Cord for Dell Mini9
60GB External HDD (wrapped in electrical tape)
MicroSD reader with 8GB SDHC card (small size & boots Linux)
Magnetic base for antenna
APC Mobile Power Pack UPB10
Alfa AWUS036H Wifi Adapter
9 dBi external antenna (big thing on left)
Hawking HWUG1A Wifi Adapter with extra antenna
Leatherman (Make: branded)
iPhone headphones
My keys
LaCie 8GB iamaKey
Leatherman Squirt with wire strippers
Eye Drops (post eye surgery)
iPhone connection for charging
3 x Mini-usb cables
1 x Sharpie, 1 x Pen, 1 x Pencil (for Geocaching)
Former eyeglasses case used for shades (I can see now)
All inside a Timbuk2 laptop bag (not pictured)
I like to keep my life as minimal as possible, so these are only the bare essentials for everyday work / play. If you find this interesting, I’d really like to hear what you have in your tech bag…
